PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diagnostic analysis graph for an oxidation stress characteristic, an easy, short-period and low-cost diagnostic method for the oxidation stress characteristic and estimation/development method for functional food using it, and the functional food used for improvement of the oxidation stress characteristic. PSOLUTION: This diagnostic analysis graph for the oxidation stress characteristic has two-dimensional coordinates with a vertical axis as an oxidation damage degree and with a horizontal axis as antioxidation protection performance. The diagnostic method for the oxidation stress characteristic estimates the oxidation stress characteristic inside a living body of a subject from a position in the analysis graph. The estimation/development method for the functional food estimates the functional food from the analysis graph in which values of the subject before and after an intake are entered, and decides a kind and an amount of an active substance of the functional food. The functional food used for the improvement of the oxidation stress characteristic contains a vitamin, a vitamin-like substance, a mineral and an antioxidative substance. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
