PURPOSE: To unify the distribution of liquid refrigerant and prevent generation of dry parts in a heat transfer tube. ;CONSTITUTION: The liquid refrigerant distributing device 12 of a falling film evaporator is formed of a plurality of tubular dispersing ducts 16, provided with a plurality of orifices 17 bored so as to be arranged in parallel substantially to the lengthwise directions of respective heat transfer tubes 6, and liquid distributing plates 23, covering respective dispersing ducts 16 and attached through a spacer 18, while fan type fins 20 are formed on the lower ends of respective liquid dispersing plates 23 so as to be faced downward and openings 19 are formed between respective fins 20. According to this method, the liquid refrigerant is ejected from orifices, provided on the dispersing duct, and flows down along the lower end fins of the liquid dispersing plate to form uniform thin liquid film on the heat transfer tubes whereby heat transfer is improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
