PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader for calculating a conversion constant and writing in a thermoluminescence dosimeter when using the thermoluminescence dosimeter of a type for the thermoluminescence dosimeter itself to store the conversion constant of the thermoluminescence dosimeter. SOLUTION: Control information is composed of an element number for uniquely discriminating the thermoluminescence dosimeter, the conversion constant for converting a light emitting quantity of a phosphor into a dosage, an application limit date for indicating an application time limit, an application limit measuring frequency for indicating a measurable frequency, an integral dosage value for indicating a total value of the dosage measured in the past, and an application limit integral dosage value for indicating a limit value of the integral dosage value of the thermoluminescence dosimeter.
