PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recover a fault when the fault occurs in a computer, and to prevent inappropriate recovery process by human error. SOLUTION: A procedure defining a fault recovery procedure is registered in a database 10D of a host computer 10 in a combination of a task of starting a local command having a user interface, a task of starting a remote command executed in a background, and a task of requiring operator work. When the fault occurs in a computer system, a procedure executing part 10B reads the procedure and sequentially executes tasks adapting to a preset execution condition following the progress of the procedure in cooperation with a procedure executing part 20A. When the local command or the remote command started by the task finishes abnormally, the procedure is forcibly finished.
