PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preventive treatment for a pine tree from withering by an electric shock effectively and in a good efficiency irrespective to the number of standing trees.;SOLUTION: This method for preventing the pine tree from withering is provided by charging an electric voltage pulse to all branches sticking out from the middle part to the top part of trunk of the pine tree or selected several branches for passing the electric voltage pulse from the branches through the trunk to earth for inhibiting the propagation activity of pine wood nematode which is parasitic on the pine branch.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
