PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive shampoo easily producible using rice or barley/wheat straw, affecting no human health and contributing to no environmental pollution as well, to provide a method for producing the shampoo, and to provide a deodorizing material utilizing such straw. PSOLUTION: This straw shampoo is obtained by the following process: rice or barley/wheat straw 1 is burnt into ash 2, hot water 3 is then intimately mixed with the ash 2 to prepare a stock liquid 4 incorporated with the active ingredient of the ash 2, the stock liquid 4 is then filtered to remove wastes therein into a filtrate 5, which is then cooled to room temperature and served as the straw shampoo 6.
