PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating pathogenic fungus-resistant or disease-resistant plants by using an acidic thaumatin protein.;SOLUTION: This method for creating the pathogenic fungus-resistant or the disease-resistant plants involves a step for introducing a specific expression vector to a plant cell. The expression vector contains the following polynucleotide and can express the polynucleotide; (a) a polynucleotide encoding an acidic thaumatin protein of a pear, having an amino acid sequence described in 1-244 positions of a specific amino acid residue, or (b) a polynucleotide encoding a protein having insertion, deletion and/or substitution of one or more amino acids in the amino acid sequence of the acidic thaumatin protein of the pear.
