The guided missile has a nose cone (1) with an opening in front of the seeking head. The opening receives a cap (3) which has an outwardly tapered sidewall (7,8) seating in a correspondingly angled surface of the nose cone opening. The sensor cap has a peripheral seal (9) to engage the opening edge. The sensor cap is biased outwardly by a ring (10).
