Nanofiltration membrane production for e.g. water purification, comprises contacting porous support membrane with grafting composition, and using light to form free radicals to produce nanofiltration properties
Production of a nanofiltration membrane includes contacting at least a surface of a porous support membrane with a grafting composition and using light radiation to form free radicals that produce nanofiltration properties. The composition includes radical polymerization monomer(s) and cross-linking agent(s) without a photo-initiator. An Independent claim is included for a nanofiltration membrane as above. Preferred Features: The support membrane has a permeability of 5 x 10-4 to 10-2 l/(h.m2.Pa.) and includes a photosensitive agent and a reticulation agent.
