The system includes auxiliary information which is stored in memory for optional display of an auxiliary view. The method provides management of an auxiliary programme which is broadcast along with a main programme. The auxiliary programme is identified in the main programme by a locating reference. The method includes a detection step followed by a step which consist of reading the auxiliary programme. A further step includes storing the auxiliary programme and then information relating to this auxiliary programme is displayed. The display is carried out as from a specific validity start date.
