Procedure has the following steps: memorization in the central controller (10) of a list of equipment areas for the installation with a corresponding sampling point (S1-S6) and elaboration of a series of successive analysis of samples of gas taken from each sample point as well as the duration of each test. Finally configuration means, valves (V1-V6), are controlled according to sampling list. An Independent claim is made for a system for use with the above procedure.
