The magnetic flux detector has a magnetic flux generator with an energizing winding supplied with an energizing current, controlled by a current regulator and a detection winding providing an induced electromotive force in response to the magnetic flux, from which the amplitude of the latter is calculated. The energizing current increases from zero to a defined value during a first time interval (T1) and decreases from the defined value to zero during a second time interval (T2), the magnetic flux calculated from the difference between the integral value (A1) of the electromotive force during the first time interval and the integral value (A2) of the electromotive force during the second time interval. An Independent claim is also included for a magnetic flux detection method.
