A crossbar (1) to the side of the ladder is arrestably pushed into the open end of one of the rungs at the desired height, or again the crossbar is hooked or clamped to the rung and the far end of the crossbar held far enough from the ladder to allow a working platform (4) to be hinged pivotally to the bar. This bar end has an A-shaped fold-out double trestle support (2) with telescopic legs fitted at their ends with exchangeable rubber or plastics feet or again angled plates normal to ground and with spikes (5). At its far end the telescopic platform (4) legs are joined by push and pull struts to splay out singly or together. Anti-tipping sprags faced in rubber or plastics are fitted to plate ends or sides and fitted exchangeably for forks or hooks. The platform as hinged to the crossbar (1) can swivel both ways horizontally and can be mounted on right the way along off a ladder at 70[deg] angle. In the case of a standing ladder, the platform can be installed in both directions.
