The solid polymer fuel cell has a number of stacked elementary cells with adjacent but not touching electrodes of an anion exchange membrane (2) and a cation exchange membrane (1), diffusion layers (3) normally arranged on both sides of the electrodes to enable the passage of electrons formed on the catalysers and intermediate connectors arranged outside the gas diffusion layers and acting as flow guides with a gas channel.
