Hybrid laser scanner system for distance measurement has rotated pulsed light source, only one detector with light sensitive element with circular surface and diameter of slot aperture
The system has a pulsed laser light source and transition time evaluation of light pulses scattered by the object. Pulsed light sources images are formed on a cylindrical surface to be observed by rotating the source. Only the receiver unit deflection mirror, receiver lens and slot aperture also rotate. Only a single detector is required and is formed by light sensitive element with a circular surface and the diameter of the slot aperture. The system has a pulsed laser light source (102) and suitable evaluation of the light pulses scattered back from the object using the conventional transition time method. Images of one or more pulsed light sources are formed on the casing of a cylindrical surface to be observed by rotating the source about an axis. Only the receiver unit deflection mirror (104), receiver lens (105) and a narrow slot aperture (106) also rotate, while only a single detector is required and is formed by light sensitive element with a circular surface and with the diameter of the slot aperture.
