Flexible distributing guide (4) arranged upstream of a ring shearing machine having revolving ring knives (2, 3) is positioned so that it tilts in a fixing clamping device (5). Rolled material fed via an outlet opening (14) of the distributing guide toward the ring knives is guided either through the cutting-free region of the ring knives or through the cutting region by changing the relative position between the rolled material and the ring knives. The distributing guide is a one-piece guide tube. Preferred Features: The guide tube has a constant internal diameter. The outer diameter (DE, DA) of the guide tube constantly decreases from the fixed clamping device to the outlet opening.
