Protection of PCs against virus attacks, password theft, unauthorized access, etc. by provision of separate hard drives for on and offline boot up of the PC, with the offline drive turned off when the PC boots in online mode
PC has separate boot procedures for online and offline operation. Accordingly when it is booted for online operation (2), the hard disk for offline operation (1) is switched off so that it cannot be accessed at all during online operation. Use of an external password file with altered path data for system requests optimizes PC and LAN protection.
