Micro-dosing device applicable in pharmaceutical and biotechnological research, comprises a media reservoir for holding a liquid to be dosed, a nozzle, and a drive unit for the liquid located in the reservoir and the nozzle
Micro-dosing device comprises a media reservoir (4) for holding a liquid (8) to be dosed and having an opening; a nozzle (6) with a channel (20) having an discharge opening (22) and an operating opening; and a drive unit for the liquid located in the reservoir and the nozzle. The nozzle is connected to the reservoir via a connecting channel (10). The drive unit applies a force to the liquid so that it exerts an identical pressure via the reservoir opening and the operating opening on the liquid in the reservoir and the nozzle. The resistances on the connecting channel and the nozzle are provided so that a volume stream is only slightly effected in the connecting channel compared with the volume stream in the nozzle. An Independent claim is also included for a process for dosing small amounts of liquid using the micro dosing device. Preferred Features: The flow resistance in the connecting channel is larger than in the nozzle. The flow resistance in the connecting channel is larger than in the nozzle channel between a point at which the connecting channel opens into the nozzle channel. The device also has a nozzle head (2) in which the reservoir and the nozzle are formed.
