Heating system for living areas, with a solid fuel burner, has a controlled heat exchanger between the combustion zone and heat distribution plates, to give an effective heating set to ambient temperatures and with heat storage
The heating system for a living area has a solid fuel burner with a combustion zone (1), flanked at a gap by heat transfer surfaces (5) which distribute at least a part of the combustion zone heat into the ambient environment. A controlled heat exchange system (6) is between the combustion zone and the transfer surfaces to make or break the heat flow between the burner and the surfaces. When the heat distribution surfaces are not in use, the heat is stored for return to the heating system as required.
