Regulation method esp. for exhaust gas turbocharger for Diesel engines with pre-adjustment and adjustment correction of turbocharger dependent upon actual injected fuel volume, and with intake path air flow used as control input
A control range is divided by a control input (xs) into at least four part sections (I-IV) with different regulating characteristics, dependent upon a gradient (dx/dt) and a differential ( DELTA x) of the value (x) to be regulated. The part sections are divided according to a positive or negative differential of the value to be regulated relative to the control input, and according to a positive or negative gradient of that value. Pre-adjustment of the turbo charger and correction of that adjustment are dependent upon actual injected fuel volume. Air flow in the intake path is used as control input.
