Arrangement uses the frequency of eddies generated by an obstruction (11) to determine the mass flow rate. A cylindrical connection (12) is attached to the process pipeline (10). Contained within it are transducer (21) and measurement processing (24) devices that are separated from the process pipe by a wall section (13). An eddy frequency sensor (20) is placed downstream of the blocking body with pressure taps placed in the wall section (13) of the pipe and the cross section plane of the obstruction.
