Production of a metallic foil comprises pouring a first slip made from a metal powder of a determined grain size onto a support and drying; and pouring a second slip made from a metal powder of a determined grain size onto the first slip and drying. An Independent claim is also included for the metallic foil produced having a thickness of less than 300 mu m. Preferred Features: A further slip made from a metal powder of a determined grain size is poured onto the dried slip and dried. The slip is leveled after pouring using a knife. The metallic foil is sintered in a vacuum at 950 deg C.
