The invention relates to a method for controlling and administering subscriber-related services which are provided through the multimedia infrastructure of a CATV network. A control and administration server into which the commands to be executed at a particular CATV network connection are input, via an administration service, can be selected via the Internet. A connection is established between the control and administration server and a content server through control interfaces, said content server then executing the command or activating or deactivating a service at the selected CATV network connection.
