Well-built steering gearbox has at least two housing elements joined by light construction tube; integral attachment arrangement attaches tube to housing elements, preferably as one piece
The device has a gearbox housing (1) containing a toothed rod (2) or rack and a drive gear (3) corresponding to a steering column (8) and the toothed rod for transferring the steering force to the toothed rod. The housing has at least two housing elements (4,5) joined together by a light construction tube (6). An integral attachment arrangement (13) is used to attach the tube to the housing elements, preferably as one piece.
