FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition used for treatment of patients with oncological and viral diseases, method of treatment of patients with cancer disease and method of treatment of patients with viral infections based on thereof. Pharmaceutical composition includes derivative of 1H-1,2,4-triazole of the formula (I) CH₂-CH₂,CH₂-CH₂-CH₂-,CH(CH₃)-CH(CH₃)- where Z means alkylene taken among the group consisting of CH₂, -CH-(alkyl) where indicated alkyl has from 1 to 10 carbon atoms; Ar is one of the group including phenyl, substituted phenyl, thienyl, halogenthienyl, naphthyl and fluorenyl and said composition inhibits growth of tumors and cancer in mammals effectively in combination with mild effect on normal cells or absence of the latter.
