PURPOSE: An expert system and method is provided to offer a general consulting service including an architecture design, a legal examination, and a feasibility study besides sale information in the conventional service system. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises an application server(102), an expert system engine(103), a natural language analyzer(104), a rule database(105), a rule manager(106), a design engine and server(107), a GIS(Geographic Information System) database(108), a GIS manager(109), and an authentication server(110). The application server(102) enables a user to communicate with an engine of the expert system over the internet. The application server(102) includes a basic information CGI(112), a Java Applet(113), a consulting output CGI(114) and a 3 dimensional viewer(115). The expert system engine(103) analyzes basic informations on target area, and extracts optimal rules. The natural language analyzer(104) searches for a rule with a function offered by the expert system engine(103). The rule database(105) analyzes expert knowledge. The rule manager(106) makes a rule base of a legal rule, a technical rule, and an expert pattern. The design engine and server(107) applies an inference result to a corresponding cadastral map of a GIS database, performs an automatic design. and browses the design result with a 3 dimensional viewer.
