METHOD FOR CREATING CAPTION-BASED SEARCH INFORMATION OF MOVING PICTURE DATA, SEARCHING MOVING PICTURE DATA BASED ON SUCH INFORMATION, AND REPRODUCTION APPARATUS USING SAID METHOD
PURPOSE: A method of generating and searching a caption oriented search information and reproducing apparatus is provided to link a caption information data stored in a disk recording medium with information of a recording position of a moving image data connected with the caption information data to generate the caption oriented search information. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reproducing a recording medium, in which a moving image is recorded, using a method of generating and searching a caption oriented search information comprises a driving portion(10) for driving the recording medium, a first controlling portion for searching a caption information in the recording medium driven by the diving portion to generate a connecting information of a searched caption information and a moving image data, a storing portion for storing the connecting information generated from the first controlling portion, an outputting portion for reading a part of the caption information from the connecting information stored in the storing portion, and a second controlling portion for controlling the diving portion referring to an input selected by a user and the connecting information corresponding to the input. In the apparatus, the first controlling portion converts the caption information searched from the recording medium into a character data to generate a search information connected with a position information of the moving image data.
