The invention relates to a thermal insulation (1) for a drinks container, in particular for a drinks bottle for small children. Conventional thermal insulation for this purpose comprises a receptacle (2) for housing the drinks bottle and a lid (3). The disadvantage of said thermal insulation is that the lid (3) may not be connected to the receptacle (2) in a reproducible manner, which leads to poor insulation properties. Furthermore, and in particular there is the risk that the lid (3) is not tightly enough fastened to the receptacle (2) such that the lid (3) may unintentionally come free. According to the invention, in order to achieve a secure connection between receptacle (2) and lid (3) and improved and constant insulation values for the thermal insulation (1), the receptacle (2) and lid (3) may be connected to each other with a positive or positive and non-positive fit.
