A blast furnace blowing tuyere contains the cooper internal and external barrels the end faces of which are connected by a steel flange and by a cooper spout-like shell with a protecting covering, an external layer of which is made of a zircon dioxide. Additionally the protecting covering is applied to all the cooper working part of the tuyere, a first layer of which is made of oxides or its mixture with 4 +-0,2 % of a titanium dioxide addition. A method of protecting covering applying on the blast furnace blowing tuyere, by which the oxides are applied onto a prepared by abrasive removal of an upper layer and deposing a sub-layer on the tuyere surface. Additionally the internal layer of the oxides or its mixture with the 4 +- 0,2 % titanium dioxide addition is applied by a gas-flame deposition, then the zircon dioxide layer is sprayed by the gas-flame deposition.
