A profile is generated for at least one newspaper-receiving customer and this profile is used to select which articles, advertisements and information is to be included in the customer's newspaper copy. An Independent claim is also included for a despatch system for newspapers compiled using this method, comprising an electronic database provided with user profile information, connected to at least one information source for the articles etc., and including a selection system for filtering articles etc. from the information source in order to compile newspapers according to user profiles.
