PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a beautiful sight, reducing the construction cost, and prevent scouring of a construction section due to high waves.;SOLUTION: A sloped execution face having a specified inclination is prepared in a conservation section of a beach. Gabions are piled up on the sloped execution face and mutual frame lines of the vertically and laterally adjacent gabions are fastened together by connection members and these gabions are covered with earth. It is desirable that the connection member is a coiled member and the connection member is attached to the gabions so as to embrace the mutual vertically and laterally adjacent frame lines inwards.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
