PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish bank block mainly used for the bulkhead of a river, a coast, and a lake, and an environmentally symbiotic retaining wall using the fish bank block. SOLUTION: This block is a hollow block comprising a front wall, a rear wall, right and left side walls, and a bottom plate. The rear part of the bottom plate is opened, and the upper end edge of the front wall is partly removed to form a cutout part. A through-hole smaller in diameter than the cutout part is drilled in the front wall to form a first opening part and to form a second opening part for communicating the cutout part with the inside of a hollow part when the environmentally symbiotic retaining wall block is stacked to form the retaining wall so that fishes of different sizes can enter into the environmentally symbiotic retaining wall block through the first and second opening parts. When the block is stacked on the sloped surface of the river to form the retaining wall, a variety of fished can live in the blocks and, therefore, the environment in water can be suitably maintained.
