PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a malfunction that a bill is broken into two pieces or the bill can not be normally released out of a device is generated when releasing the bill existing at a position hard to pinch within the tape width in a bill housing and releasing device for housing bills in a short side direction by using a narrow width tape. SOLUTION: This bill housing and releasing device is provided with a regulating means for reducing quantity of the bill getting into a back surface of the tape and a releasing means for releasing a cut part of the bill out of the back surface area of the tape.
