PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an irrigation system for supplying or draining irrigation water for paddy field lots, which has a simple structure, can easily be maintained, can surely ensure an irrigation water-supplying and draining function, utilizes only the first irrigation water-maintaining device, and can surely supply and drain water already containing agrochemicals, fertilizers and the like for the paddy field lots.;SOLUTION: This irrigation water-supplying and draining system 1 for paddy fields comprises an irrigation water-maintaining device 2 having an irrigation water-introducing portion such as an irrigation water pipe 7 for supplying irrigation water A from an irrigation water route 17 to the paddy field lot and a draining portion such as a draining pipe 12 for naturally draining drainage B from the paddy field lot 16 to a draining route 19. In the irrigation water route 17, weirs 18 are disposed on the downstream sides of the connection portions of the irrigation water-introducing potions. By the pressure of the irrigation water at the weir 18, the drainage B from the draining route is taken into the device box 3 from the irrigation water-introducing portion through a connection pipe 7a connected to the draining route.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
