PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a spacer to be assembled to a heat exchanger after the brazing work of the straight pipe and the bent part of a heat exchange coil by embracing and supporting the bent part of the heat exchange coil or its vicinity in the support channel having a crank-shaped section, in such a condition that the bent part of the heat exchange coil or its vicinity are embraced by a spacer comprising two upper and lower members from the upper and lower locations.;SOLUTION: After the brazing work of the straight pipe 31 and the bent part in a heat exchange coil is performed, a pair of angle bars C1 of a spacer C are mounted to the heat exchange coil from the upper and lower locations. The vicinity of the connection part between the bent part and the straight pipe 31 can be embraced between the embracing grooves C2 that are formed in the upper and lower angle bars C1 from the upper and lower locations. Moreover, the spacer in the vicinity of swelling part C4 is elastically deformed at the straight pipe 31 in the embracing grooves C3 that are located at both ends of each angle bar C1, and the straight pipe 31 is brought close to the bottoms C5 of these embracing grooves C2 and C3 so as to fix the heat exchange coil between the upper and lower angle bars C1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
