In the advance of forks 19 and 20 of a bobbin changing apparatus 5 to the doffing position in the bobbin changing operation, when a bobbin of a failure shape exists, the bobbin can not be penetrated into a space between the forks, the bobbin in a failure shape is inclined backward.
