PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method that organic sludge taken from the bottom of rivers, lakes or ponds is processed into a state which can be effectively reused without discarding the organic sludge or without using gravels or the like to produce a suitable environment for aerobic microorganisms and that the organic substances in the sludge are effectively used to realize an ideal environment for the inhabitation of aerobic microorganisms. SOLUTION: The method for clarifying rivers, lakes and ponds include the following processes. They are an acquiring process to acquire the organic sludge containing organic substances depositing on the bottom of rivers, lakes and ponds, a dehydrating process to remove the water content in the acquired organic sludge, a solidifying process to render the dehydrated organic sludge into a specified solid state, a sintering process to calcine the solidified organic sludge in an oxidative atmosphere to dissipate the organic substances in the organic sludge by the heat and oxygen for calcination and to sinter into a porous state, and a backfilling process to backfill the rivers, lakes or ponds with the sintered solid product.
