PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor of a manager, who issues an inquiry means, and the cost therefor and to prevent a device from becoming bulky even when the volume of the inquiry means carried with a member becomes large.;SOLUTION: A specified identifier is stored by an identifier storage means, inquiry data containing the identifier at least are converted to optically readable code image data by a code image converting means, and the code image data are transmitted to portable terminal equipment having a display screen by a code image transmitting means. Next, the code image displayed on the portable terminal equipment is optically read and inversely converted to the inquiry data by an inverse code image converting means, it is inquired by the inquiry means whether the identifier contained in the inquiry data provided by the inverse conversion exists in the identifier storage means or not, and the inquired result is outputted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
