PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method for a Buddhist alter, a Buddhist statue, and Buddhist alter fittings which can reduce time and expenses for washing without spending long time regardless of weather.;SOLUTION: This washing method includes a process to disassemble a Buddhist altar into easily washable prescribed units of parts, a process to put a liquid absorptive material impregnated with washing liquid onto the parts, a process to retain the parts with the liquid absorptive material for a prescribed time to float up soil from the surface of the parts by washing action of the washing liquid impregnated in the liquid absorptive material, a process to remove the liquid absorptive material from the parts after the soil is floated, a process to wipe off the soil and washing liquid remained on the surface of the parts by a wiping material impregnated with water, a process to dry the parts, and a process to assemble the parts into the Buddhist altar. All these processes are carried out in a home where the Buddhist alter is set.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
