The interface (I) has means of connection (CxCP) to the micromodule of a smart card (CP) and further means of connection (CxA,CxB) to two readers (A,B). A switch (C) enables connection to be made between the smart card and first one reader and then the other. The interface may be used where one reader carries an application program such as a test program which is then transferred to the second reader being tested An Independent claim is made for the application of the interface to a connection system used in testing readers
