A transmission-gearing unit (2) has a cylindrical worm drive (4) with a screw thread (6) on its periphery and a sliding element (5) running along the worm drive's thread and sliding on the worm drive. This sliding element is connected to an operating element (11). A driving mechanism (3) shifts the worm drive in a rotating motion around its longitudinal axis.
