The net support for a tennis court has a wire (10) strung between two posts (12,14) at its ends. One post is pivotally mounted between a vertical position to support the net and a lowered position adjacent to the ground. The post is fixed in a base (20) with uprights (18) supporting a pivot pin (16) which can be angled. The post can have an upright position with an angle of between zero and fifteen degrees to the vertical and a second position with an angle of between zero and fifteen degrees to the horizontal.
