The plant for production of synthesis gas from natural gas and air or oxygen diluted with inert gas comprises at least one reactor for preparation of synthesis gas and at least one compressor with power turbine. An Independent claim is also included for the production of synthesis gas from natural gas and air, using the above production plant, in which there is no need for preliminary separation of oxygen and nitrogen contained in air and where the non-separated air is used during production of synthesis gas by partial oxidation, while air nitrogen is used as inert gas for dilution of oxygen.
