Ultrasound image generating system designed to enable examinations of patients carried out by medical staff to be described in a digital manner during the examination, includes a network port (44) for communicating with a remote device in a network, an image retrieval sub-system for retrieving image data frames, a server interface (22) for inputting of operating sequence instructions, a display image screen, an examination description list management device (35), a store for storage of retrieved image data frames in different image data files and for storing the lists of examination descriptions. An object structure task (40) is required for structuring a data object which includes an image data frame from one of the image data files. A device (22) for selecting the associated examination description from the list is also included and a network management device transfers the data object to the network port for the remote device.
