The device has a shoe lever (2), which is hinged at one end to a lift door safety shoe (1) and at the other end to a storey floor. A polarization reflective plate (11) is held at one end of a connection unit (5), which is hinged at its other end to the shoe lever (2) about an intermediate hinge point. A detector (12) is connected opposite the reflective plate and is connected to a control (15), which is connected to a door operation unit (16).
