Flexible starter bar introduction equipment, for a continuous casting mould, comprises a transport car with a carriage frame which can be raised for starter bar insertion into the mould
Starter bar introduction equipment, comprising a transport car (1) with a carriage frame (10) which can be raised for flexible starter bar (2) insertion into a continuous casting mould (6), is new. Equipment for introducing a flexible starter bar (2) into a continuous casting unit comprises a transport car (1) having a carriage frame (10) which is supported on a chassis frame (9) by articulated joints (15) and which is equipped with a slide or roller track (11) for receiving the starter bar (2). The carriage frame (10) is connected to the chassis frame (9) by adjusting mechanisms (12), at least one of the articulated joints (15) being formed by an adjusting mechanism (12). The carriage frame (10) can be lifted by the adjusting mechanism (12) from a lower starter bar transport position into a raised position for insertion into the entry region of the continuous casting unit, preferably the mould (6).
