The connecting system for use in carpentry comprises a spring connector with conical cross-section which fits into the first component and projects beyond it. The projecting portion fits into a groove in the second component which has cylindrical seating (2) connected by linear sections (3). These have walls which taper towards the top of the component and grip the spring connector.
