Instantaneous stator winding temperature determination for motor, involves solving difference equation where difference in temperature of winding at given time and immediately preceding timepoint is solved w.r.t operating parameters
The momentary stator winding temperature is determined by means of solving a difference equation where the difference in temperature of the winding at a time (tn) and an immediately preceding time (tn-1) is solved with respect to the reference temperature (TG) at the time (tn), the electrical heat loss (PV) converted into heat at this time (tn) in the winding and the winding temperature (TW) at the directly preceding time (tn-1), the heat capacity (CW) and the heat resistance (WD) of the winding, the square of the effective value (IMeff) of the motor current (IN) calculated at time (tn) multiplied with the temperature-dependent electrical winding resistance (R) of the stator winding, using the winding resistance (R) for the winding temperature (TW) of the directly preceding time (tn-1).
