Effective d-spacing spread increase method of highly orientated pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) monochromator for spectrometers, involves combining pyrolytic graphite materials with different average d-spacing to form composite graphite structure
A composite HOPG structure is formed by combining HOPG materials with different average d-spacing. The HOPG materials in composite structure is oriented with their layer planes parallel to each other. An independent claim is also included for HOPG graphite monochromator.
