System for detecting combustion condition in IC engine with ignition system including ignition coil and prim. and sec. windings also switch which works selectively so that in response to ignition control signal prim
The detecting system is designed with a control circuit (32) in such a manner that it closes the switch (20) according to the ignition control signal (EST), in order to produce a closing voltage (Vclosing) for the voltage bias of a sparking plug (22) connected with the secondary winding (18) of the ignition coil (14). A measuring circuit (28) is coupled with the secondary winding (18) and is designed in such a manner, that it produces an ion measuring signal (VION), which represents an ion stream (IION) produced in response to the closing bias voltage (VSCHLIESSEN). A capacitor (76) can produce bias voltage.
